Introduction: Organizational culture is a key factor in improving service quality, increasing patient satisfaction, and enhancing organizational efficiency in educational and medical centers. The present study aimed to design a comprehensive model for enhancing the organizational culture in such institutions, considering the complexity of these centers and the pivotal role of culture in their performance.
Methods: This qualitative study was conducted based on the grounded theory approach. The statistical population consisted of experts from educational and medical centers in East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. Using snowball sampling, 12 participants were selected until theoretical saturation was achieved. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using MAXQDA (version 2022) software. Coding was performed in three open, axial, and selective stages.
Results: In the open coding phase, 275 initial codes were extracted from the interview transcripts. These codes were collected in the form of 14 axes in the axial coding stage and finally, in the selective coding stage, they were organized into six final categories including causal conditions, central phenomenon, strategies, intervening factors, contextual conditions, and consequences. These 14 axial categories formed the main foundation of the proposed model for promoting organizational culture in educational and therapeutic centers.
Conclusion: The proposed model, considering human, organizational, and environmental dimensions, offers practical solutions for improving and institutionalizing organizational culture in educational and medical centers. The findings emphasize the importance of designing strategic interventions at both individual and organizational levels to strengthen the culture of these institutions.
