Content validity & reliability of questionnaire was confirmed by CVI=95%, α=0.8, respectively. Results were analyzed SPSS soft ware.   Results: 37.1% of students agreed that the test with DOPS method is suitable for clinical skills assessment. Also, 37.2% of students believed that clinical skills assessment DOPS cause stress. Most satisfaction percentile related to interns orientation about performing DOPS evaluation (57.2%), and minimum percentile related to devoting time for each procedure (40%) and non- compliance of patients with students during required procedures in test.   Conclusion: Results of this study confirm the suitability of DOPS instrument for assessing clinical skills students as well as paying more attention in selecting the test procedures    assessment clinical skills Intern Dops 2012 10 01 17 23 http://rme.gums.ac.ir/article-1-132-en.pdf 10.18869/acadpub.rme.4.2.17

Therefore, designers try to reach educational programs to desirable standard for every teaching and learning process. By considering importance of educational environment it can be as a tool for evaluting educational quality. The purpose of this study is to determine the reliability and validity of measuring tools of Dundee educational environment.    Methods: This study is classified as exploratory research. The statistical population of the research constitute 350 medical students of Guilan University of medical sciences and Islamic Azad University of Tonekabon in which they are studying at the second semester of the academic year 1390-91. The tools of measuring educational environment of DREEM is a questionnaire containing 50 questions on a five- item Likert type ( 0-4), in five domains (ranging from 0 to 200 points ). The coefficient difficulty, Discrimination coefficient, and Factor analysis method was used to calculate the reliability at the result of psychometric properties threads, and to examine the validity, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used. Data were analyzed using Lisrel and SPSS software.   Results: The result showed that the points were in five domains of 127.53 at the total 200 points. Validity of the test was evaluated by Cronbach's alpha (0.933 ). Validity of the test with KMO equal to 0.910, and the Bartlett 60936.37 that even beyond the level of p=0.001 is Statistically meaningful .meanwhile, the five-multiple choice question have been with the 95 percent certainty between the 2.38 and 2.46 points. And the Standard deviation is 23.91.   Conclusions: Finally, due to the obtained result of the reliability and validity, measurement tools of educational environment were approved. environment educational reliability validity medical 2012 10 01 24 33 http://rme.gums.ac.ir/article-1-133-en.pdf 10.18869/acadpub.rme.4.2.24

Research in Medical Education RME 2008-952X 2008-7284 10.61186/rme 2012 4 2 A Comparative Study of Functions of Thinking Style and Self-Directed Learning among Nursing and Midwifery Students in Mashhad H A VeisKarami H Garavand hoshanggaravand@gmail.com H NaserianHjiabadi S E Afsharizadeh R Montazeri A Mohammadzade Ghasr   Introduction: Students' thinking styles are effective factors in self-directed learning. This study aimed at comparing functions of thinking style and self-directed learning among nursing and midwifery students in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.   Method : The statistical population in this correlation descriptive study included all undergraduate students (N=550) of Nursing and Midwifery in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. A randomly stratified sample of 214 %27 males and %73 females) received thinking styles questionnaire and Fisher’s Self-Directed Learning Readiness Scale (SDLRS). Data were analyzed using descriptive (pearson's Correlation, multiple regression, Mean, and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (MANOVA, independed t- test).   Findings: The results of Pearson's correlation coefficient showed that there was a significantly positive correlation between executive and judicial thinking styles and self-directed learning. The results of multiple regression showed that self-directed learning can be predicted by functions of thinking styles. Independent t-test revealed that there was no significant difference between girl and boy students as to their total self-directed learning scores. Based on MANOVA test results, there was no significant difference between girl and boy students as to the independent variable, self-directed learning (including the components named self-management, desire for learning and self-control).   Conclusion: According to the findings, it seems that professors and educational professions can predict students' readiness for self-directed learning or help them to learn the style of thinking with aware of functions of thinking styles. self-Directed learning Functions Thinking style Nursing and Midwifery students 2012 10 01 53 62 http://rme.gums.ac.ir/article-1-99-en.pdf 10.18869/acadpub.rme.4.2.53
