Considering the effectiveness of many factors on patient history, this study with the goal of exploration of emergency physician’s experiences on barriers of precise patient history taking and physical examination was done. Method: This is a qualitative content analysis research. After purposeful sampling, semi structured interviews were held with 18 physicians in Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences. Each interview was recorded and transcribed verbatim and then analyzed using the content analysis method. Results: Based on the participant’s experiences, primary codes of barriers on history taking and physical examination were obtained . Then after integrating or eliminating the overlapping codes, 5 secondary codes or main barriers including: Educational barriers, Cultural barriers, Economic barriers, no knowledge on legal issues, and defect of supervision and administration systems were found. Conclusion: The findings showed 5 main barriers of patient's history writing. All participants emphasized that resolving these barriers need to precise supervision on history taking and physical examination in emergency wards and continuing scientific and cultural education for physicians and community. In this regard, the objective of the present study was to examine the relationship of organizational justice with positive organizational behavior and work engagement among faculty members of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences. Methods: This descriptive study followed a correlational design. Using stratified convenience sampling method, 205 faculty members of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences were selected and studied through applying three questionnaires of Niehoff and Moorman’s Organizational Justice Questionnaire (1993), Luthans et al.’s Psychological Capital Scale (2007), and  Salanova and Schaufeli’s Work Engagement Scale (2004). To analyze the data, Pearson correlation coefficient and simultaneous multiple regression analysis were used via SPSS. Results: Faculty members’ mean score on organizational justice (3.61±0.698), positive organizational behavior (3.99±0.593), and work engagement (4.19±0.474) were all variables higher than the theoretical mean (3). Correlation coefficients of procedural, distributive, and interactional justice and organizational justice with positive organizational behavior were respectively 0.444, 0.519, 0.486, and 0.563 (p<0.01). According to the results obtained from regression analysis, procedural, distributive, and interactional justice explained 32.1 of the variance in positive organizational behavior (p<0.05). Correlation coefficients of procedural, distributive, and interactional justice and organizational justice with work engagement were respectively 0.645, 0.591, 0.612, and 0.705 (p<0.01). According to the results obtained from regression analysis, procedural, distributive, and interactional justice explained 51.5 of the variance in work engagement (p<0.05). Conclusion: Since organizational justice and its dimensions have a significant relationship with positive organizational behavior and work engagement and organizational justice can predict positive organizational behavior and work engagement, university administrators should pay attention to organizational justice which leads to enhanced positive organizational behavior and work engagement. The present study aims to examine the effect of Quantum Learning in Academic Achievement and motivation in learning in students. Methods: This is an experimental study. The research population included all the students of Basic Sciences (N=343) in Medical Sciences field in Guilan University of Medical Sciences in 2015. After the screening, second semester students in Biochemistry course by simple randomly selected and they were divided into two experimental groups and control group. In the experimental group was applied Quantum Learning method and the control group were taught under normal (lecture) conditions. The Quantum Learning Model was designed by using suggested models, revision and localization of them and so taught to assistant instructor. The instruments for data collection were the motivation and learning attitude questionnaire by Biggs ، Kamber، Lung and a Biochemistry test. The Independent T test and SPSS were used to analyze the data. Results: Although there is no significant difference in experimental and control group mean score before instruction, but mean score of two groups after instruction show meaningful differences in research variables including: Learning Motivation (4.079±  0.33) and  Academic Achievement (7.271.40±) in experimental group and Learning Motivation (3.0356.33± ) and Academic Achievement (3.450.83±) in control group respectively. Conclusions: experimental observation of this research demonstrate that Quantum method Model can increase satisfaction among students and they follow  and study lessons rigorously also, applying this research by instructors  can create interest and improve motivation in learning and academic achievement Quantum learning Medical Education Motivation Academic Achievement 2016 3 01 29 36 http://rme.gums.ac.ir/article-1-297-en.pdf 10.18869/acadpub.rme.8.1.29

Research in Medical Education RME 2008-952X 2008-7284 10.61186/rme 2016 8 1 Comparative Study of Morning Report in Conventional & Evidence Based Medicine forms, from the Viewpoint of Medical Students F Farhadifar M Bahrami mitra_bahrami66@yahoo.com F Yousefi E Farazi A Bahrami Introduction: One of the most important educational method in medical sciences is Morning Report. Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) is a new approach that has been considered to improve the quality of clinical care. The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare of morning report in regular & Evidence Based Medicine from the viewpoint of medical students. Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out on 87 students in OB&GYN departments of Besat hospital in Sanandaj in 2014. Sampling was done through consensus. Data was collected by a researcher- made questionnaire that include 3 Section and 26 Items including Demographic and educational factors, information about Structure and content of morning report, and Section about Improving students skills in regular and EBM method. The reliability of the questionnaire using Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.85. Data was analyzed by SPSS software and T-test and Chi-square test. Result: The results showed that 85 students (97%) declare 8 (A.M) as suitable time of holding   morning Report in Routine and EBM group. The average duration of Morning Report in EBM group was 42.10 minutes and in Routine group was 38.6 minutes.  There was significant difference between EBM and regular in presenting feedback (P< 0/04), participation and interaction between the audiences (P< 0/003) so that in EBM group was observed more than routine group. There was no significant difference between EBM and Routine group in the number of patients, the type of disease and time Case Presentation (p>0.05). In EBM group students ability was promoted more than routine group (p<0.04). Conclusion: Conditions of Morning Report structure was observed within acceptable level in two groups. To improve Morning Report it should be more emphasized on the structure and content of meetings such as feedback, participation and interaction between the audiences and subjects  about promoting  the ability of students. Presentation of disease-oriented specific pathology and pharmacology courses centered at the physiopathology, as examples of horizontal integration,is one of the educational goals of Shahid Sadoughi university of medical sciences. due attention to importance of the students’ opinions on success of this program, current study was conducted. Methods: This descriptive-cross sectional research, was performed on medical students of Shahid Sadoughi University of medical sciences with using census, in 2013. Data were collected through a questionnaire, consisting of two parts of demographic information and questions in four sections; awareness and necessity of integration process (6 questions), education (9 questions), facilities (2 questions) and satisfaction from integration program (8 questions), using a Likert scale. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and SPSS software. Results:  based on students viewpoints the highest scores rates have been devoted to section of education from integration plan (3.36 ± 0.45)  then, the scope of satisfaction from integration process (3.26±0.4) and lowest points to the facilities (2.92 ± 0.7) is identified. Conclusion: Considering the finding of this research, students of physiopathology courses had positive attitude toward presenting of pharmacology and pathology in integration method, But for improving the performance of this method, and upgrading laboratories facilities,it is necessary to cooperate with other groups in order to avoiding duplication of topics and also producing of manual description of  the goals and plans of integration for students.
