Introduction: Training of efficient and interested graduates is one of the priorities of the educational system. Every year, some students drop out or hopelessly continue their education because of dissatisfaction of their field of study. The purpose of this study was to determine the satisfaction of Operating Rooms students of Rafsanjan Paramedical School with their field of study and their view on job future in 2019.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, all Operating Rooms students of Rafsanjan Paramedical School (75 students) were evaluated. A two-part questionnaire was used, the first part included demographic questions and the second part was to evaluate the level of students 'satisfaction with the field of study, effective factors on students' satisfaction and perspective on the future career.  Reliability and validity of the questionnaire is confirmed through Cronbach’s alpha 0.7 to 0.94. The Data were analyzed using T-test, Anova, and Chi-square through SPSS.
Results: The students' satisfaction with mean and standard deviation of 3.5±0.77 was in the range of "high satisfaction" and there was no significant difference in terms of age, gender, marital status, total grade point average, history of dropping out of school and place of residence (p>0.05). The difference between the year of entry into the university and interest in the field of study was significant (p=0.011). How to teach specialized theory courses was the most important factor in students' satisfaction with the field of study, and "serviceability to people and the community" was the key to a positive attitude toward the future.
Conclusion: The students' satisfaction was "very high" and their attitude toward job future was positive. Improving the educational facilities, more student interaction with the department manager and the application of theory lessons in the clinic will be critical to achieving satisfaction.
