  Introduction: Educational decline is one of the major problems in higher educational centers. It is not only waste time and current costs of systems but also were caused social, family and spiritual problems for students. The purpose of this study is to determine factors were influences in educational decline and to prefer some profitable solutions, from the students’ viewpoints.

  Methods: This is an analytical, cross- sectional study that carried out on 600 students.

  Data were collected by using a questionnaire consist of information about personal characteristic, course satisfaction, effective factors in educational improvements and some profitable solutions. In this study, the students were classified in two groups, successful and unsuccessful according to their course scores. Data were analyzed by statistical chi- square and t-test.

  Results: There was significant relation among educational achievement and study methods, life style, gap between high school graduation and acceptance in university (P<0.05). While no significant relation considered in attendance in class, age, course, and family economical situation. From the viewpoints of successful and unsuccessful students, The most effective factors to decrease educational difficulties consist of acceptance in university based on diploma score (86%) and quality improvement of educational services.

  Conclusion: Based on finding, personal characteristics, life style, living and educational problems, study methods, selecting course, quality of educational planning are most effective factors on educational achievement or non-achievement and should be considered in designing and performing educational programms.
