The purpose of this study was to compare two methods of face to face and pamphlet training (education) to increase awareness of cardiovascular risk factors among high school girl students in Kashan. Methods: This quasi-experimental study was carried out on 150 high school girl students selected through multistage random sampling method in 2011.The samples were divided into two face to face and pamphlet training and their awareness and performance before and after the intervention and one month later was assessed. The data were analyzed by SPSS 11.5 through t-test and chi-square test. Results: In both groups, there was a meaningful difference between the pre-test and post-test scores (p<0/05) but the magnitude of this difference was more in first group (2.2±3.17 and 1.74). There was meaningful statistical difference comparing two groups in respect to the three parts of the knowledge and practice score (post-test, one month later) but no difference in post-test and one month later. (Knowledge p<0.05, practice p<0.05) Conclusion: This study concluded that face-to-face training was more efficient comparing pamphlet training. M3 10.18869/acadpub.rme.5.2.8 ER -
