Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental in three-groups. A total of 60 female students in management, accounting, law and engineering fields with low self-efficacy scores were screened in 1390 and randomly were divided into three groups, two experimental and one control group. eight sessions of cognitive strategies and assertiveness training were presented for the two groups separately. Schwarzer self-efficacy scale was used to assess self-efficacy. The results were analyzed through covariance test and were confirmed by post hoc Bonferroni test. Results: The mean score of self-efficacy in case group 1 before training cognitive strategies was 22.12 and was 27 after training. The mean score of self-efficacy in case group 2 before training self – assertiveness was 20.04 and was 25.37 after training. This revealed significantly increased of self-efficacy in both groups (p<0/01). Also the comparison of mean difference's two groups showed self – assertiveness training was affected more on General self-efficacy scores than cognitive strategies. Conclusion: Results confirm general self-efficacy can be increased by using cognitive strategies and assertiveness training. But the assertiveness training affect more on self-efficacy than cognitive. So ,teaching these skills during education especially at lower age, is necessary.
